Viewing Bugs If you want to view list of currently available bugs, you must choose
menu View -> Bugs or click “View bugs” button on the application toolbar.
List of bugs is displayed in table form. You can change column order or add/remove columns
from the list. You can apply filters to the list of bugs. This allows seeing only bugs that
you want and exclude bugs that are not important for you. You can add new bugs, change bug
information or delete bugs (if you have privilege to do it as Bug Registry user). For detailed

You can refresh current view to display newly created bugs by choosing menu
View -> Refresh or by clicking “Refresh” button on the application toolbar.
Configuring Bug View You can configure bug view in two ways.
1. You can use drag-and-drop method to change column order in the bug view. To do this you
must click on the column that you want to move and drag it to the place you want and then drop
the column there.
2. You can choose menu View -> Add/remove columns. This will activate
“Add/remove columns” dialog box. In this dialog you can choose columns that you want to
view by moving them to Selected columns. You can exclude columns from the view by moving
them from Selected columns. You can change column order by moving columns up or down in
the list of Selected columns.
Adding Bugs To add new bug you must first open or activate bug view window and
then choose menu Edit -> Add bug, click “Add bug” button on the application
toolbar or choose Add bug command from the context menu. This will activate “Add bug”
dialog box. This dialog box has several tabs. At the General tab enter description, type,
severity and module. At the Steps to reproduce tab describe actions that one must
do to reproduce error. At the History tab the program will automatically add current time and
bug status (New). At the Attachments tab you can attach different files to this bug
(text descriptions, screenshots, etc.). File size is limited to 500 KB. Number of attached files
is limited to 5. After you have finished click Save button. New bug will be added to the bug list.
This function is available only if you have privilege for adding bugs. For detailed

Editing Bugs To change bug information you must first open or activate bug view
window and then choose menu Edit -> Edit bug, click “Edit bug” button on the
application toolbar or choose Edit bug command from the context menu. This will activate
“Edit bug” dialog box. This dialog box has several tabs. At the General tab you can
change description, type, severity or module. At the Steps to
reproduce tab describe actions that one must do to reproduce error. At the History tab
you can change bug status and add notes to this change. By changing bug status you can attach bug
to the programmer or developer, declare bug fixed, close bug, etc. At the Attachments tab you
can attach different files to this bug (text descriptions, screenshots, etc.). File size is limited
to 500 KB. Number of attached files is limited to 5. After you have finished click Save button
to save changes and Close button. Selected bug will be changed in the bug list.

Copying Bugs To copy bug you must first select bug that you want to copy and then choose
menu Edit -> Copy bug, click “Copy bug” button on the application toolbar or choose
Copy bug command from the context menu. This will activate “Add bug” dialog box where all
fields will be filled with parameters of the bug you have copied. For further description see
“Adding bugs” section in this article.

Deleting Bugs To delete bug you must first select bug that you want to delete and
then choose menu Edit -> Delete bug, click “Delete bug” button on the application
toolbar or choose Delete bug command from the context menu. This function is available only
if you have privilege for deleting bugs. For detailed description of user privileges

You can select multiple bugs by pressing Ctrl or Shift key and clicking on the bugs. You
can select all bugs by choosing menu Edit -> Select All.
Finding Bugs To find bug you must first open or activate bug view window and then
choose menu Edit -> Find bug, click “Find bug” button on the application
toolbar or choose Find bug command from the context menu. This will activate “Find bug”
dialog box. In this dialog box enter bug No, description (text that description field
includes), type, severity, module, status, user name or steps to
reproduce (text that steps to reproduce field includes) parameters and click OK button. You
can enter one or many search parameters. Program will search the database and display all found bugs
in the current bug view window.
You can return to the full bug list by clicking Clear all button and then clicking
OK button in the “Find bug” dialog box. The current view would return to the full
(or filtered bug list).
Printing Bug View In Bug Registry you can print list of bugs as it is displayed in the
bug view window by choosing menu File -> Print. Before printing you can configure bug
view window or apply filter the list of bugs. This allows you to select columns for the report and
include only bugs that you want to have in it.
You can preview generated list of bugs by choosing menu File -> Print preview. You
will see the generated document in the print preview window. It will either look right, or it won't. If
it doesn't then you can return to bug view window and make the changes necessary to get the document
generating correctly.
Note: You will not be able to print or preview this report if you do not have printers
installed on your computer. Please install a printer before trying to print any reports.
