Next Topic
With built in e-mail notifications, you can notify your whole staff of a bug efficiently and
quickly. You can automatically notify users of new bugs, changed bugs, and attaching bugs to user.
To enable e-mail notifications you must have installed and configured e-mail client program
(such as Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Outlook Express or The Bat!) on each
computer that uses Bug Registry e-mail notification system.
To configure automatic e-mail notifications you must choose menu Tools ->
E-mail settings. This will activate “E-mail settings” dialog box. In this dialog box
you will see list of events to which you can attach e-mail notifications. This function is available
only if you have privilege for configuring e-mail notifications. For detailed description of user
privileges click here.
Attaching e-mail notification To attach e-mail notification to any event select event
in the list and click Edit button. This will activate “Configure E-mail” dialog box. In
this dialog box you must choose Bug Registry user (users) that will receive e-mail when this event
happens and enter subject of the message sent to this user and click Save button to save this
configuration. You can enter one or several valid e-mail addresses (separated by “;” symbol) in
the To, CC and BCC fields.
Detaching e-mail notification To detach e-mail notification from the event select
event in the list and click Delete button. All e-mail settings for this event will be
erased.
