System requirements Bug Registry requires Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows 2003.
If you are using MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle as Bug Registry database server you will
need your database server to be installed and configured before you can use Bug Registry. You
must also have your database client software installed on each computer that uses Bug Registry
software. If you are using Microsoft Access as Bug Registry database engine you can start
using Bug Registry immediately without installing any client software.
Installing Bug Registry To install Bug Registry, run BugRegSetup.msi. The Setup program
will issue a number of prompts. Unless you have a reason to override the defaults it is strongly
recommended that you accept the installation default settings (just press OK, Yes,
or Next, as appropriate).
Uninstalling Bug Registry If you wish to uninstall Bug Registry you must do the following:
1. Activate the Control Panel.
2. Choose Add/Remove Programs.
3. Choose Bug Registry in the list box and press Remove button.
Technical details.
The uninstall procedure performs the following steps:
1. Verify that it is safe to uninstall.
2. Delete files in Bug Registry folder.
3. Remove the Bug Registry icons and Start menu entries.
4. Remove the Bug Registry entries from the windows registry.
Uninstall procedure DOES NOT remove Bug Registry database from server (if you are
using MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle). You must do it manually using administrative
tools shipped with database server.
