Bug Registry Online Help: Connecting/Disconnecting From the Database

Connecting to the database

Once Bug Registry is launched, you will see a Login dialog box each time you start the program. To log into Bug Registry, enter server name, database name, username and password in the dialog box fields. Bug Registry will remember the last server and database you opened, so you should normally only need to enter your password. If you choose Integrated Security while using Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle, you will not need to enter username and password. These settings will be taken from your Windows account.

If you want to connect to another server or database without closing and launching application again, you must first disconnect from current database and then choose menu File -> Connect to database or click Connect button on the application toolbar. Then you must do everything as described earlier in this article.

Disconnecting from the database
To disconnect from current database, you must choose menu File -> Disconnect or click Disconnect button on the application toolbar.
